A young girl was raped and her fiancé shot in the head on her birthday in Enugu State and sought refuge at a nearby church, Daily Post reports.
The
culprits blocked the couple on Orba Road, hijacked their car, and took
them to Alor-Ano Community Secondary School, where they raped the girl
and shot her fiance in the head, when they were complete with her, they
left her N500 as a ‘birthday gift’.
They went after her when they
realised she could recognise them but she escaped to at Adoanai Faith
Assembly who were holding a vigil nearby. She recounted what happened
to the congregation and the pastor called the police and rushed her fiance to the hospital.
